MY LIST for The Spring Reading Thing 2009

JOIN US IN A "SPRING CLEANING"

I don't know about you, but I have a huge stack of "to be read" books that keep staring at me, not to mention the review copies on .pdf on my computer. So a challenge has been raised at Callapillar days: The Spring Reading Thing 2009. Taking a deep breath, I am plunging in, and I hope you will join us.

[This next section, explaining The Spring Reading Thing 2009, is copied from the original blog.]

Essentially, Spring Reading Thing 2009 is a fun, low-pressure reading challenge open to anyone and everyone. It will take place March 20th-June 20th (which is, coincidentally, the spring of 2009).

To participate, here’s what you need to do:

* Create a list of some books you’d like to read or finish this spring.
* Feel free to set some additional reading goals (such as reading to your kids two hours per week, getting through your pile of magazines, etc.). This is completely optional.
* Write a blog post including the list of books you want to read and any additional goals you’ve set, and get ready to post it on your blog on March 20th.
* Visit Callapillar Days after March 20th to sign up. Katrina has a Mr. Linky set up so you can submit a link to your personal Spring Reading Thing post, and it will be added to the master list. (If you don't have a blog, you can still make a list and leave a comment here with that list, then let us know from ime to time how you are coming on the reading)
* Read! Work on your goals throughout Spring 2009.
* Report your results. Write another blog post in June to let everyone know how you did (or leave comments 0n this blog).
* Have fun! Visit other participants to see what they’re reading. Write reviews if you’re so inclined. But most of all, enjoy your spring reading.

I just checked in on the links of participants at this point in time: 204! A whole lot of reading going on this spring!

NOW FOR MY OWN LIST. I expect to add more before June gets here, but these are the books that I know I want to tackle in the next three months.

Phew! Okay, that's it for now. I will probably add on as I unearth a few more. I'll do my best to review them all. Unless I really dislike one; when that happens, I don't usually say anything negative. Anyway, I don't expect to be disappointed.

Check in at Callapillar Days to see the list of bloggers who are taking the challenge, then read some of their reviews. Should be a lot of good ideas in there for you and all the people you give gifts to!

Hi Cathi,
I just read a note you left on Cathy Bryant's blog on my interview. You mentioned lack of funds. First of all - all my ebooks are free at my website. Y si vous ne aimez pas lire les livres electronique, je peux vous donner deux livres.
Que Dieu vous benisse!
